Bird Walk

Join the South Shore Audubon Society on a bird walk at the West End of Jones Beach. The walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the northeast corner of the parking lot at Jones Beach West End #2. Rain will cancel the walk. The bird walk is free of charge. The walk leaders and other birders and nature enthusiasts will be happy to share their knowledge and experience with you. Bring binoculars. Long Island Choral Society

Presents Mozart’s Requiem, Puccini’s Gloria and Pärt’s Beatitudes. The concert will also feature an organ and orchestra. 4 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, 48 Shelter Rock Rd., Manhasset. The program will include: Requiem by W.A. Mozart with soloists (sopranos, Carol L. Carmen, Patricia Gallagher, Susan Ann Laustsen and Katrina L. Montagna, altos, Debbie Bertolini of Massapequa, Beth-Ann Fredrickson and Deborah Goldstein, tenor William J. Schmitt III; baritone Ladd Jeffers and bass Michael J. Plant; Messa di Gloria by Giacomo Puccini with soloists (tenors, John P. Evans, R. Todd Hoisington, William J. Schmitt III, baritone Stephen V. Treglia, and basses Anthony Barton and Michael J.
