Edward J. Zurek, of North Massapequa, died on April 18, 2009. Retired Merchant Marine Second Engineer, serving on U.S.S. United States. Husband of Gloria. Father of Barbara (James) Hennessey, Debra (Gerard) Hagmeyer, and Amy Zahralban. Grandfather of 11 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service was held April 22 at the funeral home. Private cremation followed.
