The Massapequa High School - Main Campus wrestling team has once again won the state Scholar-Athlete Team award for the winter 2008-09 season.

The team placed first out of 95 teams in the state with a combined average of 95.14. This is the sixth time in the past seven years that they have earned this prestigious award and the 12th overall New York State Scholar-Athlete Team award for Massapequa High School Main Campus.

The district is proud to announce that its high school athletes have won more State Scholar-Athlete awards than any other school in Section 8. Members of the wrestling team were recently honored at a Board of Education meeting for their outstanding achievement.
