New York Order Sons of Italy in America President Nancy DiFiore Quinn, in conjunction with the New York State Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc., announced their sponsorship of the Twelfth Annual "Walk for Education and Culture," which is scheduled to take place on May 2 at Cedar Creek Park, Seaford, parking field five and six. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and the Walk-A-Thon will begin at 10 a.m. for the one-mile route.
All proceeds from the annual "Walk-A-Thon" will be used to subsidize the Foundation's scholarship and cultural programs. Also, the Foundation as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization contributes thousands of dollars to worthwhile charitable and humanitarian organizations.
In addition, the New York Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc. distributes funds to the Cooley's Anemia Foundation, Alzheimer's Foundation, Cancer Research, the Association for the Help of Retarded Children (AHRC), Gift of Sight, Coaches vs. Cancer, and many other charitable foundations.

Refreshments will be served before and after the walk. Entertainment will be provided. If you can't walk, but wish to make a donation, just come down at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 2 and join in the fun and activities.
