The American Black Belt Academy in Massapequa Park has started a new fitness program for women.

The program includes classes in kickboxing, Pilates, toning and bag. This is an effective program due to the combination of the classes and our expert instructors, said Tom LoVarco, owner of the academy.

"The difference here is that our kickboxing classes are taught by women who are trained in the martial arts which you don't usually get at a gym," LoVarco said. "Because of this, many of the techniques at gyms are not done properly which can put you at a high risk for injury and you will not obtain maximum results."

Classes are offered at convenient times in the mornings and evenings and are available six days a week. Free babysitting is available for all morning classes and they offer many affordable price packages.

For more information, contact the academy at 795-8531 or visit their web site at americanblackbelt.com.
