Recently, the Massapequa Soccer Club held its first volunteer appreciation night.

The club awarded six individuals with appreciation awards. They were: Nick Sarno - Volunteer of the year; Jimmy N & Kim D. with outstanding performance (MSC players); Eric A. & Mary Kate G. with outstanding referee for Fall season 2008; Sean G. for outstanding contribution as referee. Sean had an article written about him for ESPN.

Festivities took place at the Marjorie Post Park Community Center.
