The Seventh Squad reports the details of an occupied burglary that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 27 at 12:10 p.m.

According to detectives, two teenage siblings were in their Massapequa Park residence when they heard the doorbell ring. Not expecting anyone, they didn't answer the door. One subject was seen looking into the rear yard. A short time later they heard a noise downstairs and saw another male subject inside their house near the front door. When the victims locked themselves in an upstairs bedroom and called 911, the subjects fled. There were no apparent proceeds and no injuries.

One subject is described as a white male, approximately 40, wearing a red sweater vest with black sleeves. The other subject is a white male, possibly in his 20s, beard, wearing a black jacket.

Detectives request anyone with information about this burglary to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous. Logo
