For the months of October and November Massapequa Park movie man John Carpenter continues his highly acclaimed nostalgic movie programs.
As the most knowledgeable, sought after and experienced film preservationist and collector of classic film on Long Island, he monthly gifts the residents of both Nassau and Suffolk counties with his alone having access to some of the most rare and much wanted examples of Hollywood's Golden Age.
Not only does he lecture on the history and creative staff of each movie, he chooses to teach and entertain residents with, but as Westbury regular attendee Robert McKenna has said, "John enjoys enlightening and showing us these classics as much as we enjoy coming out to see them."
And McKenna speaks the truth as seen by the standing room only capacity Carpenter's programs receive.
