Seaford resident Seewoo Sung was arraigned on Monday, July 14 on misdemeanor charges of Unlawfully Dealing with a Child and violation of the Nassau County Social Host Law. This, according to the Nassau County District Attorney's office, is in addition to the original charge of felony Tampering with Physical Evidence. Sung, the DA's office said, is believed to have been the host of a house party on South Street in Seaford where Massapequa resident Natalie Ciappa died of heroin-related causes on June 21.
Sung's bail remained set at $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash. As of July 14, he was incarcerated in the Nassau County jail. The arraignment took place in front of Judge Alan Honorof. ADA Robert Schalk of the County Court bureau is handling the case for the DA's office. Sung is represented by Anthony Grandinette. He is due back in court July 30.
