The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Massapequa man for Assault on Tuesday, June 17 at 7:45 p.m., in Massapequa.

According to detectives, 7th Precinct Police Officers were dispatched to the residence of defendant Brian Moran of Massapequa, after receiving multiple complaints for disturbance/loud music at that location.

Moran reportedly refused to comply with the officers' directives to lower the music and, when advised that he was consequently to be issued an Appearance Ticket for a noise violation, Moran refused to provide identification. He was placed under arrest and became combative while being handcuffed, causing one officer to sustain two broken fingers in the process, detectives added.

The defendant is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned on June 18 in First District Court, Hempstead.
