The Farmingdale State women's lacrosse team (0-1) fell today in its home season opener against Stevens Institute of Technology (2-0) in Farmingdale NY. Rams senior goalkeeper, Janine Forman of Massapequa, made 17 saves in defeat.

Stevens led 8-1 at the half and Farmingdale was able to score three in the second, but the final score ended 17-4.

Freshman attacker Justine Rothar led the Rams with two goals, three ground balls and a draw control. Senior midfielder Theresa Rokee scored one goal, one assist and had two draw controls. Sophomore defender Monica Grisales scored the fourth Farmingdale goal and had four ground balls.

Stevens' Alyssa Pigott scored five goals, while Katie Lalli and Leah Wasserman each had three.

The Rams travel to face Western Connecticut on Tuesday, March 11 at 3:30 p.m.
