The Robbery Squad reports the details of a bank robbery that occurred in Massapequa on Monday, Jan. 7.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., a male entered the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank branch located at 1090 Hicksville Road, detectives said. He passed a note to a female teller demanding money, detectives added. After obtaining an unknown amount of U.S. currency the suspect, detectives said, fled the bank out the rear door.
Detectives describe the suspect as a white male, six foot tall, late thirties to early forties, medium build, wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark sunglasses.
At the time of the robbery, there were 12 employees and seven customers in the bank, detectives said. No injuries were reported and no weapon was produced, detectives added.
