BOCES Students Inducted Into Honor Society
Four Massapequa High School students---Catherine Cook, Tina Finocchiaro, Megan Morlock, and Lauren Simko--- were among the 82 Nassau County teenagers from Nassau BOCES Joseph M. Barry Career & Technical Education Center (Barry Tech) who were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a special ceremony at the school.

More Heroics for Sherry Bellovin
The inaugural Sprint for the Sands Point Preserve, held on the grounds of the Preserve on August 25, was nothing short of a smashing success. Three hundred sixty-four registrants and 296 finishers enjoyed a taste of every aspect of what is one of Long Island's hidden treasures, on a challenging but fair run over one of the most eclectic 5-kilometer courses on Long Island.
