Mark your calendar for Lukefest, the annual fundraiser of the Luke Neuhedel Foundation and children with cancer, on July 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Maria Regina School, Jerusalem Avenue in Seaford. Join the Luke Neuhedel Foundation as it flies over the rainbow with Dorothy and all her Oz friends to raise money to help children fighting cancer. The festival is open to the public and includes great family-fun activities.
Scheduled entertainment includes DJ Paul Spinelli of Spotlite Entertainment, performances by LI band "The Leaders," St. Rose CYO Cheerleaders, the Jacto Dancers, magician John Lepre, the balloon art of Nick the Balloonatic, face painting by clowns Paddy and Paddycake, visits from Skateosaurus of United Skates and other characters, BBQ provided by Applebee's, games, crafts and more.
RSI Events will sponsor a silent auction of art and sports memorabilia. Raffle prizes include Webkinz, portable DVD player, iPod, emerald, ruby and pearl jewelry and great toys for kids of all ages, plus a Grand 50/50 Raffle. Lukefest attracts hundreds of Long Islanders each year. Everyone is welcome to join the party and have fun raising money for children receiving cancer treatment in the metro area. Luke Neuhedel foundation is a 501c3 charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with cancer through grants and family-fun events.
