Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School recognized the achievements of its outstanding students at its Annual Honors Banquet held on June 11 at the Swan Club in Glenwood Landing. Among those honored was Massapequa resident Kerry McDonald, who received the Girl's Soccer MVP Award, as well as a certificate for a three-year membership in the National Honor Society.

LuHi Athletic Awards are presented to the Most Valuable Player on each of the 2006-07 interscholastic varsity sports teams. Kerry was named MVP of the Lutheran High Girl's Soccer Team in recognition of her athletic talent and high standards of sportsmanship.

Membership in the LuHi Chapter of the National Honor Society is granted to those students who have been highly rated by faculty members in the areas of character, leadership and service and who have an 85 or better cumulative average.

Throughout her career at LuHi, Kerry has been active in many other co-curricular and athletic activities, including serving as a member of the Spanish Club and Soccer team. She plans to attend Genesco College, NY in the fall.
