On June 17, the Suffolk County Police Department arrested a Patchogue man for running a red light and driving without a license after he was involved in a fatal car crash in Dix Hills.

Yeri Bravo-Crespo of Patchogue was driving a 1992 Ford dump truck south on Deer Park Avenue at 8:39 a.m. when he struck a 1994 Ford sedan driven by Jeff Bartlett, 48, of Massapequa Park. Bartlett, who had been heading east on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road, died as he was being transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

Crespo's passenger, Mendoza Pasquale of Patchogue, was treated for injuries sustained in the crash and released.

Both vehicles were impounded. Crespo was arrested for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Passing a Red Light. He is being held at the Second Precinct and was arraigned on June 18 at First District Court in Central Islip.

The Narcotics/Vice Bureau reports the arrest of five individuals for practicing unlicensed massage and related offenses on June 16 in Hicksville and Massapequa.

After receiving illegal massage from defendants Meizhen Bu, age 44, of Flushing and Fang Lu, 41, of Fresh Meadows at Acupuncture and Bodywork, 107 Stewart Avenue, Hicksville, undercover detectives placed the two under arrest, at approximately 3 p.m., and subsequently charged them with Unauthorized Practice A Crime (E Felony).

Earlier, at approximately 2:15 p.m., undercover detectives arrested the following individuals inside 707 North Broadway, Massapequa, after they reportedly performed illegal massage and also offered to perform sexual acts in exchange for money: OK Kim, 46, of Flushing; Hua Ying Cui, 36, of Flushing; Hua Mei Li, 42, of Flushing.

All three are charged with Prostitution and Unauthorized Practice A Crime. The five defendants were arraigned on June 17 at First District Court, Hempstead.
