Legislator Dave Mejias (D.-North Massapequa) has announced that in conjunction with the Viceroy Civic Association, he will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Farmingdale Public Library, located at 116 Merritts Rd.
"Now that summer has begun, everyone looks forward to spending time in our Massapequa Preserve," Mejias said. "Recently, I have been hearing concerns about the upkeep and treatment of this jewel of Nassau County. There have been instances of improper teenage activity, polluting, poor maintenance and other abuses. It is important that we address these issues as soon as possible so that we may all enjoy the warm weather outdoors and in a healthy environment.
"It is important that the various state, county and town departments, along with the members of our community attend because together we can find a comprehensive solution that will keep our Preserve a safe and healthy place for everyone," Mejias concluded.
Invited guests include:
• Oyster Bay Town Councilman Anthony Macagnone
• New York State Police Department
• New York State Parks Department
• Nassau County Police 8th Precinct
• Nassau County Parks Department
• Nassau County Public Works
• Town of Oyster Bay Parks and Highway Department
• Farmingdale Public Schools
