The Jelly Bean Counting Contest is now over and we are happy to announce the three winners. The jellybeans numbered 1,482. Patty Cobb guessed 1,480 and she is the first-place winner. Bill Healy is our second-place winner with a guess of 1,475. Coming in a close third is Gene Wallace with a guess of 1,473. Congratulations! We hope you will all enjoy your $50 gift certificates which can be redeemed at our member stores. Thank you for shopping on Park Boulevard in our wonderful Village of Massapequa Park.
We hope your Easter and Passover Holidays were just great. A big thank you to our Easter Bunny, Dana Schifman, who so graciously gave out candy to everyone on Park Boulevard. We are glad it was not too warm out so that she was comfortable in her bunny costume. Job well done, Dana!
We are so glad to see the lime green cross walk signs in the Village. More cars are stopping because the signs are much more visible then they were before. You still have to be very careful crossing as not all drivers are alert and some do not stop.
The Massapequa Park Merchants Association this month donated $500 to Massapequa Cares. (This money is used to buy clothing and other supplies for the veterans in the Northport Veterans Hospital). Our Association is also proud to donate $2,000 to the Inc. Village of Massapequa Park. This money will be used to help defray the expenses of fireworks on July 4 and, also, to help pay for the spring banners and flags to be erected on the light poles in the Village. We are proud to support the community.
Please support our local stores. We need you!
