Peter Annarumma of the Massapequa Soccer Club was recently honored as a Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) Volunteer of the Year at the 25th Annual LIJSL Volunteer Awards Dinner.

Peter was chosen for his outstanding commitment and years of dedicated service to the thousands of youths who have played soccer in the Massapequa Soccer Club.

The LIJSL is a nonprofit, educational organization operated by volunteers and serves as an umbrella organization, providing a coaching academy, clinics, tournaments, special competitions, scholarships and programs for players of all abilities.

As one of the largest youth soccer leagues in the United States, the LIJSL has 100 community-based member clubs representing approximately 70,000 players on Long Island and in Queens. For more information visit www.lijsoccer.com.
