Nassau County PAL Police Officer/Director James Graham of the Massapequa PAL has announced registration dates for the 2007 Spring Tennis and Summer PAL Bowling programs.

Registration for the spring tennis program will take place on Thursday, March 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at the PAL Trailer, 510 Parkside Boulevard in Massapequa.

The cost of the program is $95 per person for this six-session instructional program, which will run in April and May.

Tennis instruction is held at Massapequa's Sportime on Old Sunrise Highway in East Massapequa. Various dates and times for instruction are available to choose from during these open enrollment sessions. For further information, please call the tennis office at 409-4414.

PAL Bowling offers a large variety of summer programs including Bumper Bowling for boys and girls ages 4 - 7, Junior Bowling for ages 8 - 11, and Teen Bowling for ages 12 and up. All summer bowling sessions will begin on June 25.

The PAL will be bringing back its popular 10-week "Have-A-Ball" program for ages 4 - 16. The "Have-A-Ball" program will take place on Thursdays only. All "Have-A-Ball" participants will receive a custom-drilled bowling ball and bag at the completion of this special program. The cost of the "Have-A-Ball" program is $13 per week.

In addition, the PAL will be offering a Bumper Bowling program (five per team - two games at $6 per week); a Junior Bowling program (4 per team - three games at $8 per week); and a Teens program (four per team - three games at $8 per week). These programs will run on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. All participants will receive a PAL bowling T-shirt and a participation trophy at the end of the summer season.

The PAL will partner with Massapequa Bowl, 4235 Merrick Road who will once again host bowling activities. Participants can register at Massapequa Bowl on Monday, March 19; Thursday, March 22 and Friday, March 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. The registration fee for all programs is $15, payable by cash or check made out to Massapequa PAL.
