Pearl Harbor Survivors in Massapequa
On Thursday, Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor remembrances were held at Republic Airport, the traditional dropping of the roses at the Statue of Liberty. Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt was on hand to greet two Pearl Harbor survivors, both from the Massapequa's. Running Awards for Local Athletes
The Dec. 19 meeting of the Greater Long Island Running Club served as the Club's annual Awards Night for 2006, highlighted by a bunch of very special people receiving awards in recognition of their athletic accomplishments in recognition of their service to the Club and to the Long Island running community.
