    On Thursday, Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor remembrances were held at Republic Airport, the traditional dropping of the roses at the Statue of Liberty. Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt was on hand to greet two Pearl Harbor survivors, both from the Massapequa's.
