We have so much to be thankful for during the holidays. We live in a wonderful community, with friends and neighbors who care about us. Our local member stores care about you, too. Where else can you shop with caring storeowners and devoted employees? Please try to shop locally in the Village so that our stores and professional offices can survive during these slow economic times.

All during the month before the holidays the Merchants Association, in conjunction with the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce, have placed donation boxes at Astoria Bank and the Massapequa Post, both located on Park Boulevard. Please be generous and donate non-perishable food items during the month. Let us share our good fortune with those in the community who need help.

Happy Thanksgiving Holiday. Let us pray that our young men in the armed services get home quickly and safely for the holidays.
