Junior Jillian Duffy of Massapequa was an important factor in a banner season for the Muhlenberg College field hockey team.

The Mules finished with a record of 12-7 and qualified for the Centennial Conference playoffs for the first time since 2000. Muhlenberg picked up its first postseason victory since 1992 with a 1-0 shutout of Gettysburg in the first round before falling to nationally ranked Ursinus in the semifinals.

Duffy led the team in scoring with 28 points on 12 goals and four assists, averaging 1.47 points per game. She was also tied for first on the team with four game-winning goals. Duffy will enter her senior season with a career total of 44 points on 18 goals and eight assists.

Jillian really got it done for us on the forward line this fall, and she will be one of our top scoring threats next year," said head coach Megan Eddinger. "Jillian continues to surprise me out on the field. She has developed into a great forward line player and I'm sure her skill level will continue to rise. She has contributed a lot to this program over the last three years and I'm sure she will stun us all during her senior year."
