The following is a summary of actions taken by the Massapequa Board of Education at its regularly scheduled meeting on Nov. 16.

The board of education received the following reports:

* Elementary Summer Stars Program by Elementary Summer School Principal, Ms. Patricia O'Regan.

* Reassessments by Assistant Supt. for Business, Mr. Alan Adcock.

* Benchmarks Report by Superintendent Dr. M. Flaherty and Executive Director Mr. Robert Schilling.

The board of education acted on a variety of new business, including:

* Approval of stipends for the 2006-07 school year.

* Approval of a change order for the Massapequa High School eight classroom additions.

* Acceptance of a donation from the Unqua PTA of a sprinkler system to be used for the Unqua Habitat.
