Cadet Christopher Grieco will soon complete his first academic semester as a Midshipman under Guidance (MUG) or fourth-class cadet at the State University of New York (SUNY) Maritime College.

Cadet Grieco is a native of North Massapequa.

In addition to being in Maritime's Regiment of Cadets, Cadet Grieco is also a member of the Navy Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC).

He is also a member of Maritime's Rescue Squad and Maritime's Pistol & Rifle team. He is a corpsman (a student volunteer assisting in sickbay) and a member of the Coast Guard's Auxiliary Unit.

At SUNY Maritime, Cadet Grieco is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in marine transportation.

The oldest and largest maritime school in the country, SUNY Maritime College is a four-year college located at historic Fort Schuyler in Throggs Neck, NY.
