The Nassau County Police Homicide Squad reports the arrest of a Massapequa man for an incident that occurred at 4:35 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.

According to detectives, police officers responded to a call for shots fired at 192 Old Sunrise Highway, Massapequa.

At that location was the body of a male, identified as Dino Messana of East Meadow, the apparent victim of gunshot wounds. The cause of death is under investigation by the Nassau County Medical Examiners Office.

Charged in connection with this incident was Paul A. Broccoli of Massapequa. According to police, Broccoli has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon, third degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
