Soccer is one of the fastest growing youth activities in the country. The Elks Soccer Shoot Program is geared to coincide with this sport phenomenon. The Elks want to capitalize on this sporting event to help keep young people focused and away from undesirable activities.

The Massapequa Elks Lodge #2162 will hold a Soccer Shoot Program to take place at John Burns Park on Saturday, September 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This "Five Goal Contest" event will include boys and girls in two categories: children 7 years old and younger and boys and girls 8 and nine years old. There is also the "Grid Coal Contest" which will include boys and girls 10 and 11 years old and a separate contest for boys and girls 12 and 13 years old.
