Wasn't our annual street festival something! We had over 2,000 people attending this function on Saturday and Sunday. It was our biggest and best fair yet. There were over 100 vendors, plus our own marvelous restaurants, who all put out food for sale which was absolutely delicious! Thank you Adams Ribs, Mary's Pizza, Thai Taste, Calhouns Grill and Once Upon A Bagel Café. Many thanks to Richie at Carvel for donating all of the ice cream for our contest. Our members, American Black Belt Academy and Tiger Schulmann's Karate, put on terrific performances which were so exciting to watch. Your support for our community was overwhelming and we thank you!
We must thank Congressman Peter King for attending. He is so busy with Homeland Security. It's so nice to know how much he loves his fellow Massapequans. Thank you, Congressman King. Of course, a very big thank you to Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto, Minority Leader of the Nassau County Legislature Peter Schmidt, State Assemblyman Joseph Saladino, Massapequa Park Mayor James Altadonna and Trustee Harry Jacobson. Also, many thanks to the judges and town clerks who attended.
This event could not be put together without the help of my executive board, Suzann Osterbery, Town Florist, Colman Lazlo, Panache Beauty Salon, Thomas Raad, Edward Jones Investments, Michael Wells, M & R Multimedia, John Robinson, land surveyor, Judy Sacino, State Farm Insurance and my support crew Carol Byrnes and Irene and Richard Harmon.
Thank you all for coming to the fair. We hope you had a wonderful time.
