Farmingdale High School Head Football Coach Buddy Krumenaker recently headed up the Annual National Football Foundation and College Football Fall of Fame Champions' Youth Football Clinic at Farmingdale High School.

The weeklong football clinic works with local youngsters, like Mathew Mackenzie, a 9-year-old from Farmingdale and instructs them about the many basic aspects of football. Aside from the fundamentals, the clinic also stresses dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Assisting with the coaching was Canute Curtis, a 1992 graduate of Farmingdale High School, who went on to become a star football player at the University of West Virginia and, later, with the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League.

The National Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame, which has Long Island Chapters in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties, is dedicated to preserving the spirit of football, its character-building attributes and its vital role in the educational process.
