The Massapequa Memorial Day Parade, held on a splendid spring morning, attracted thousands of residents along its parade route on Broadway, Clark Boulevard, and Park Boulevard, where the marchers passed the Town of Oyster Bay reviewing stand.

This year's parade was co-sponsored by the American Legion Post #1066 and the Sergeant Peter F. Colleran Post #7763 Veterans of Foreign Wars.

TOB officials, Village of Massapequa Park officials, and representatives from service clubs and youth clubs were on hand to give tribute to America's fallen heroes.

Immediately following the parade, a memorial tribute for deceased firefighters was held in the West End Firehouse.
