Two local runners, Sherry Bellovin of North Massapequa and Howard Kestenbaum of Massapequa Park, both successfully completed the 2006 Reckson Long Island Marathon, which was held on Sunday, May 7.

Sherry crossed the finish line in 5 hours, 37 minutes, 8 seconds, and Howard scored in 5 hours, 46 minutes, 55 seconds. Howard was the third place award winner in the 70-74 age group.

Both Sherry and Howard are members of the Greater Long Island Running Club, and Howard is a member of the Club's Senior Feet Racing Team.
