Patrick V. Mielo, of North Massapequa, died on April 24, 2006. Husband of Hilda. Father of Patrick Mielo. Also survived by many other family members and friends. Arrangements were made by the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home, Farmingdale. Services were held in the funeral home. Cremation was private. Norma C. Solenick, of North Massapequa, died at the age of 82. Wife of 60 years of Michael. Born June 23, 1923 in Brooklyn, she passed away at her home on April 23, 2006. Daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Faeber, she resided in Middle Village, NY until her marriage to Mike in November 1946. She has lived in North Massapequa since the early 1960's. Norma was both a homemaker and a businesswoman. She was also a World War II veteran having served her country as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. She was last employed by Genovese Drug Stores, Melville, NY, from which she retired at age 65 after a long association of various homeoffice administrative positions for this Long Island based family chain of retail drug stores. Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Barbara and son Paul. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc. A service with Pastor David Terry officiating was held at the funeral home, with interment following at Calverton National Cemetery.
