Are you registered for the upcoming Plainedge district budget vote and school board election?

Residents who are registered for either school district or general elections are eligible to vote as long as they have voted in a general or school election within the last four years. A person who is not registered may register to vote at the District Clerk's Office located in the Administrative Offices at the Plainedge High School, 241 Wyngate Drive, North Massapequa on days when school is in session from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents may register for this year's budget and election up until five days prior to the vote (May 11). Residents must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States and a resident of the district for at least 30 days. Proof of residency is required.

Absentee ballots are available for registered voters who meet the requirements and complete an absentee ballot application. Individuals who are designated as "permanently disabled" by the Nassau County Board of Elections will be sent an absentee ballot automatically.

Please contact the District Clerk's Office at 992-7451 if you have any questions about registering, eligibility to vote, or absentee ballot applications.
