Police Officer Maureen Roach of the Nassau County Police Activity League (PAL) - Massapequa Unit - has announced the 2006 registration dates for the Boys Travel Lacrosse and Girls Travel Lacrosse programs.
A Boys Travel Lacrosse program for boys in third through sixth grade and a Girls Travel Lacrosse program for girls in third through sixth grade will run from March through June. No previous lacrosse experience is necessary to join this program and players will be responsible for providing their own lacrosse equipment. Details concerning required equipment will be e provided at the registration sessions.
The registration fee is $95 per player. All lacrosse registrants (both new and returning) must submit a photocopy of their birth certificate at the time of registration.
Registration for the Spring Lacrosse Travel programs will be held at the Nassau County Police Activity League - Massapequa Unit Office at 510 Parkside Blvd.(northeast corner of the LIRR's Massapequa train station) - on Thursday evening Jan. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday mornings Jan. 7 and 14 from 9 a.m. to noon. There will not be any late registration for the Spring Travel Lacrosse programs due to roster filing deadlines.
