A Massapequa youth was seriously injured in an automobile accident that took place in Bellmore on the early hours of Sunday morning, Nov. 27.

According to the Homicide Squad of the Nassau County police department, Scott Buro was operating a 1991 Honda Accord southbound on Newbridge Road at Bennett Avenue. He then lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and struck a telephone pole.

Buro was ejected from the vehicle and suffered both head and body trauma. He was transported by ambulance to the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where as of this past Wednesday he is listed in serious condition.
