The Kiwanis Club of Massapequa recently hosted its 57th Annual Installation of Officers and Board of Directors at the Stuart Thomas Manor.

The dinner honors the outgoing officers and board of directors, welcomes in the new team and highlights the many accomplishments of the past year, including special recognition awards and presentations. Joe Ruggiero of Massapequa Park was named Kiwanian of the Year for going above and beyond in assisting the president during his term.

Members of the Club will be bellringing for the Salvation Army Saturdays in December at the new Westfield Sunrise Mall.

The Kiwanis Club of Massapequa, which meets Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. at Sidekick's Restaurant, except the fourth Wednesday luncheon at 12:30 p.m., does many things in the community, including sponsoring three Key Clubs in Massapequa, Plainedge and Seaford High Schools.
