The Massapequa High School Senior Boys Cross Country Team won the Jim Smith Invitational, defeating 25 other teams from across Long Island and throughout New York City.

Tim Kramer, who finished in 6th place and was named "Athlete of the Week," along with senior teammates Michael Sullivan (11th place), Jason Zaringhalan (15th place), Jonathon Price (17th place), Jonathon Pesce (50th place), and Frank Dioguardi were part of the winning team. The runners were awarded a trophy, which will be placed in the Cross Country/Track showcase at Massapequa High School.
