Earth Day Cleanup a Success
Friends of Massapequa Preserve recently enlisted the aid of Adelphi University's Kappa Sigma Fraternity for an Earth Day cleanup at the preserve off Parkside Blvd. Kappa Sigma has a goal of 25 hours community service per member and plans to return to Massapequa Preserve for additional cleanup projects this spring.

Columbus Lodge Aims to 'Strike Out' Cancer
The Columbus Lodge #2143 Golden Lions softball committee, together with not-for-profit organization Homeruns for Life, recently announced they will join the fight against cancer by holding a softball fundraising event to benefit the Long Island Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Massapequa Little League Celebrates 50 Years
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto, joined by Councilmen Angelo A. Delligatti and Joe Muscarella, as well as Town Clerk Steve Labriola, recently joined Massapequa Park Village Officials Senator Charles Fuschillo Jr. and Assemblyman Joseph Saladino to celebrate Massapequa Little League's 50th Anniversary and opening day ceremonies.
