The U.S. Women's National Team got a goal from Massapequa native Christie Welsh to defeat Germany 1-0 to win the 12th Annual Algarve Cup, which was held in Fargo, Portugal recently. It was Welsh's fifth goal of the tournament and earned her the Algarve Cup scoring title. Germany came into the event as the top ranked team according to the FIFA Women's World Rankings. FULL STORY
