The Long Island Cross Country Ski Club will hold its final three meetings of the current season on the following Tuesdays, Jan. 11, Feb. 8 and March 8 at the Plainview/Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Road, about a quarter mile east of Rte. 135. Meetings begin at 8 p.m.

Close to 125 Long Islanders are members of the club, which is open to adults from beginners to advanced skiers. Club trips are planned for places like New Hampshire and Canada, as well as New York State. Members also enjoy local skiing (when there's snow), which can sometimes be a pleasant surprise right up to late March.

Refreshments will be served at each meeting, free of charge.
