The Massapequa Girls Volleyball team won the championship at the 25th annual Wantagh Invitational Volleyball Tournament Sept. 11. This represented the fourth consecutive win for Massapequa at this event.

Danielle Furka and Caroline Garvey were named to the All-Tournament Team. The team includes: Katie Hill, Patty Caltabiano, Lauren Bedard, Carolyn Leggio, Jennifer Fritz, Caroline Garvey, Bonnie Weinstein, Alicia Scotto-Lavino, Danielle Furka, Jenn Pacchiana, Janine Aldridge, Amanda Kopp, Susan Dittrich. The coach is CarolAnn Habeeb and the assistant coach is Lindsey Hill.

The Junior Varsity Chiefs competed in the JV Division of the Wantagh Tournament and finished in third place. Lindsey Beratis was chosen for the All-Tournament team. The girls were led by Coach Mary Anne Abiuso and team members are Tara Annunziata, Kelly Bartels, Lindsey Beratis, Colleen Chmura, Danielle Cerar, Kelley Collins, Lauren Diehlmann, Carolyn Furman, Kim Giaquinto, Mary LaGrassa, Jamie LaSota, Kelly Rogers, Katie Schnaars and Dominique Suhrland.
