Your summer calendar is not complete unless you include Lukefest 2004: Be a superhero Aug. 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at Maria Regina School, 3945 Jerusalem Avenue, Seaford. Lukefest is a block-party-style fundraiser to benefit the Luke Neuhedel Foundation (LNF) and its programs to help children with cancer. Sponsorship provided by Bethpage Federal Credit Union, food provided by Applebee's, music provided by Island 94.3, snacks provided by Entenmann's.

Lukefest fun includes rides, games, prizes, kids characters, clowns, magician, face painting, sand art and raffles and silent auction to raise funds for LNF. Also scheduled to appear are Quackerjack from the LI Ducks, the NY Islanders Community Patrol, the NY Rangers Zamroadie, and the United Skates Skate-o-Saurus. Donation of $10 at the door for persons over age 10 - kids under 10 are free! More details can be found on LNF's website, www.lukefund.org, as well as a list of raffle baskets and celebrity-autographed silent auction items, updated regularly. Come share in the fun and make memories with your family!
