The Plainedge Board of Education recently selected June 15 for a re-vote on the district's proposal for the 2004-2005 school budget. The proposed budget will remain the same as was presented to the community in May. Voting will take place at Plainedge High School from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 15. FULL STORY

Ken Garcia, a resident of Massapequa Park and a JV lacrosse coach at Farmingdale HS, was recently named the director of lacrosse for the LUHI summer camps. Garcia was a collegiate All-American, is currently a member of the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse and was recently honored to the Long Beach Wall of Fame in 2003. Assisting Coach Garcia will be Marcello Sandoval, the head coach at Wheatley HS. Coach Sandoval is a two time assistant coach for the LI Empire State Team which both times won gold. Sandoval is also a coach for the Long Island Pride. FULL STORY
