Congratulations to the Plainedge High School Varsity Wrestling team, which was named Conference III Champions and placed fifth in the Nassau County Tournament. In addition, wrestler Vincent Minnici won the Nassau County Heavyweight Championship, a first for Plainedge and he went on to compete at the state level.

Jennifer Carbo, Girls Varsity Bowling, captured the Conference VII High Series title and Boys Varsity Basketball player Kevin Galante was named a Scholar-Athlete. Five teams qualified as Scholar-Athlete Teams with the following team GPA: Girls Varsity Indoor Track (93.074), Girls Varsity Bowling (91.523), Varsity Wrestling (91.418), Girls Varsity Basketball (90.749) and Boys Varsity Indoor Track (90.342).

At the PHS Varsity Winter Sports awards night, scholarship winners included: Michael Bennett, Jackie Lane, Lauren Lane and Katelyn Maher (Liam Redican Memorial Basketball Scholarship Award); Stephanie Lyons (Jerry Finck Memorial Bowling Scholarship Award); and Vincent Minnici (Plainedge Mat Power Wrestling Scholarship Award).

Winter Sports MVP Awards went to Joseph Caparco and Rose Kennedy (indoor track); Kevin Galante and Joanna Taylor (basketball);

Daniel Kohlhepp and Stephanie Lyons (bowling); Vincent Minnici (wrestling); and Erin Trinidad (cheerleading). Winter Coaches Awards were presented to Kidd Cardillo and Stacey Pysock (bowling); Jennifer DiGiovanni (cheerleading) Tara Kalberer and Charles Milone (track); Katelyn Maher and James Quinn (basketball): and Sean O'Brien (wrestling).

Plainedge High School also congratulated four-year Varsity players Alana Garritano and Erin Trinidad (cheerleading); Tara Kalberer (girls indoor track); and Stephanie Lyons (girls bowling). Other athletes displaying their skills and talents secured the following individual honors:
