This facility, built on the site of the former Massapequa General Hospital on Route 107 in Seaford, will be occupied in November by Massapequa Heart Group, Diagnostics.
Many of the doctors and their staffs were on hand for the celebration and showed off their new offices to family and friends. Also participating in the event were Daniel Walsh, president and CEO of Winthrop-University Hospital; Paul Seale, president and CEO of New Island Hospital; Deborah Gray, executive vice president of Winthrop-South Nassau Hospital; Douglas Kydd, South Nassau Communities Hospital; and Peter Puccio and Tom Walsh, Roslyn Savings Bank.
The building, which formerly housed the emergency room of Massapequa General, had fallen into disrepair following its closing in 2000. Jobco purchased the property and then worked with Angelo Francis Corva & Associates, Architects, to create a new facility on the same footprint. The result is an attractive addition to the community. Area residents, including Muscarella, said they are thrilled to have a medical facility in the neighborhood again, noting that it contributes significantly to the overall look of the area.
"The Town of Oyster Bay is pleased and proud to have a part in the ribbon cutting today," said Venditto. "We wish all the tenants many years of success in this new location."
The event concluded with self-guided tours and light refreshments served in the rear lobby.
