As a former player on Coach Dell's baseball team in the late '70s, I can attest to the fact that Coach Dell is the best there is, period. Everything he said is just as it was when I was on the team. You break the rules and you're going home, fast. I hope fairness and common sense prevail and that Coach Dell is reinstated and that he gets an apology from the athletic director. The fact is, that if a kid wants to go do something he's not supposed to, he's going to do it no matter what. I guarantee that any player who played for Bob Dell would vouch for him 100 percent, including the guilty kids on the team. I hope your newspaper champions his cause and lends its support to one of the truly good people to ever enter the coaching/teaching arena.
