The Massapequa Board of Education unanimously adopted the 2003 - 2004 school budget April 10. This budget allows us to maintain our current high quality program," stated Dr. Lawrence Pereira, superintendent of schools. The Southampton College Women's basketball team shone bright this season, securing a New York Collegiate Athletic Conference playoff berth. Despite being eliminated in the first round against New Haven, the Lady Colonials had a successful 2002-2003 season, taking a top spot in several of NYCAC statistical categories.
