  • News: Plainedge Board Approves Bids for Middle School Construction

    Bids for the renovation/construction of Plainedge's new middle school were approved in December by the Board of Education. The first meeting with the contractors was held Jan. 17, and construction is expected to begin this month. It is anticipated that the project will be completed within 24 months. FULL STORY

  • News: Two Retire From Massapequa Water District

    Massapequa Water District recently lost two valued employees, with a combined service of 61 years, to retirement. Nassau County Legislator Peter J. Schmitt, the Republican Minority Leader of the Legislature, was on hand to note their service and wish them well. Schmitt presented two special Nassau County Legislative Citations in recognition of their efforts.
