    Thanks to the efforts of science teachers Andrew Orgonik and Jessica Kiernan, and the 50 middle school students in their science club, the Sylvia Packard Middle School has its very own butterfly garden. Monarch butterflies now have a Plainedge roosting spot on their grueling 3,000-mile migration between Mexico and Maine. FULL STORY

    The Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of its Principal Conductor Yuval Waldman, presents violinist Rachel Lee who will perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D-Major Dec. 7, 8:30 p.m. at the Berner Middle School. The orchestral selections include Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4 in F-Minor and the Waltz from Eugene Onegin. FULL STORY
