Thomas J. McCormack Jr., 80, of Massapequa Park, died on Aug. 2, 2002. A WWII veteran, he earned a battlefield commission, Silver Star, Two Purple Hearts and a Presidential Unit Citation. Husband of Jeanne (nee Jordan). Father of Thomas III (Donna), Mary Jeanne Corea (Joseph) and the late Timothy. Grandfather of Jeanne, Timothy and Kelly. Adolph Schlegel, 92 years of age, passed away on Aug. 13, 2002, at his home in Massapequa where he lived most of his adult life. He maintained the plumbing and heating at the US Court House, Foley Square, NYC, until he opened his own plumbing and heating business in Massapequa. Adolph did residential and commercial work throughout LI until he retired.
He was a charter member of Massapequa Elks Lodge #2162, a member of the Historical Society of the Massapequas and the Republican Club. He was a model train hobbyist and an avid fisherman.
